About us
Nuevo Water Company
Nuevo Water Company (NWC) was formed as a Mutual Non-Profit Corporation in 1913 to provide water to farms and homes in the Nuevo and Lakeview area and is owned by you, our Shareholders. Over the last 111 years the Company has evolved from being predominantly an irrigation water system, to becoming a community water supply system. NWC now serves water to more than 1900 homes and businesses in the valley and delivers it through more than 46 miles of pipeline.
Nuevo Water Company has a stringent water sampling regimen in place to ensure that homes, schools and businesses receive the best quality water that meets all the state and federal drinking water standards. NWC conducts weekly water sampling from all sources of water supply, including a sample that is representative of the entire water distribution system. These samples are tested by a certified independent laboratory to ensure the drinking water NWC delivers meets state and federal drinking water standards. In the event NWC is notified of any exceedance of drinking water standards, appropriate actions would be immediately taken to address the exceedance as required by California Water Board Division of Drinking Water and you as a customer would be notified.

Closed Saturday – Sunday

Service Areas
Not all homes in the valley receive their water from NWC; some are supplied by EMWD or have their own private wells. Generally defined, the NWC service area is bounded by the San Jacinto River on the West, the Ramona Expressway to the North, Hansen Avenue to the East and San Jacinto Road to the South.
